Now we come to the end of our Elements issue with this month’s theme: Earth.
This month we’re exploring Guerilla Farming in Urban Cities with Andrew Bruce, owner of Plant Jamaica – a seven-acre farm in Stony Hill, Jamaica. In his interview, Bruce talks about hacking the system of food poverty in Jamaica and helping fight for sustainability. We are also looking into our connection to land and soil by the African American cavers who helped map some of the caves in the National Parks Service. In the article, “Black History at Mammoth Cave,” learn all about these men who literally dared to go where no men have gone before.
If the outdoors and fun is your thing, then we’ve also covered some of the ways you can enjoy Mother Earth. Take a road trip to see Namibian Sand Dunes and visit Namib-Naukluft National Park in this issue and also check out our list of countries that can help you feel re-connected. We’ve also covered Black Hunters and Earth Magic in Scotland and Ireland.
But wait, there’s more! Many have reached out to us in regards to moving abroad, so we continue our expatriation series discussing healthcare in regards to Medicare and how it travels.
At this juncture, we are wrapping up our Elements theme, where we discussed Fire, Water, Air & now Earth. If you have enjoyed the content for each theme then please drop us a line and let us know how you feel about them.
