Bucket Lists Beasts (“BLB”) is the travel and adventure segment of (Im)Possible Living, LLC, a purpose-driven, passion-filled, freedom-based travel, adventure, and lifestyle company that encompasses group travel experiences, lifestyle redesign, and women’s empowerment coaching, motivational speaking, published books, and much more. The mission of the company is to help people e their best, happiest, most fearless, fulfilling, and kick-ass lives!

BLB is a Facebook community of “Beasts” (as they affectionately refer to one another) – a niche of highly adventurous travelers who prefer off-the-beaten-path destinations and on-the-edge-of-your-seat activities. If it’s “normal” or “average” – the Beasts don’t want any part of it!

BLB’s signature trip is the annual “Mystery Trip!” Travelers pack their bags, grab their passports, and head to the airport with no idea where they’re going, where they’ll be staying, or what they’ll be doing. They open secret envelopes at the airport to find out all the details of their international getaway! Past “Mystery Trips” have included bucket-list destinations such as Santiago and Easter Island, Chile; La Paz and Uyuni (Salt Flats), Bolivia; and cross-country explorations of Sri Lanka and Laos.

In addition to the “Mystery Trips,” BLB prides itself on introducing women to the beauty of nature and the wonder of the great outdoors via its “Girls Gone Glamping” trips to the national park treasures of America. Past glamping destinations have included Glacier, Yellowstone, Bryce, and Zion National Parks.

2019 BLB Getaways Include

  • A cross-country exploration of Iran
  • The ultimate turn-up at Carnival in Grenada
  • Glamping in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee
  • Whitewater-rafting on the Salmon River in Idaho
  • A “Mystery Trip”

BLB already has trips posted for 2020 and 2021, including a cruise to explore the last great frontier of Antarctica (a repeat trip for the Beasts) and a stay at a luxury glamping ranch in Montana!

Accommodations on BLB trips have included everything from a glamping tent with a king-sized bed, and hot shower to a hotel made entirely of salt! And activities on BLB trips have included everything from caving to kayaking to hot-air ballooning to “Dinner in the Sky!”

The type of traveler who would best enjoy the BLB community and hosted group trips is one who loves adventure and living life on the edge. The type of traveler who doesn’t just get outside the box, but obliterates the box completely. The type of traveler who continually gets outside their comfort zone in an attempt to break through barriers and shatter false stereotypes. The type of traveler who goes right when everybody else goes left. The type of traveler who shuns following the crowd down the common path, and instead, likes to chart their own course and create their own lane. The type of traveler who isn’t afraid to walk alone, and in fact, rather enjoys it. The type of traveler who, when others ask, “Why?” – they ask, “Why not?”

Sonjia “Lioness” Mackey is the Queen of Bucket List Beasts, a world-traveler who has visited all seven continents, all 50 states, and 77 different countries. She’s done everything from sleeping on the ice in Antarctica to eating sheep penis and goat testicles in China to sky-diving in Dubai to getting a live snake massage in Israel to bungee-jumping in Macau to running with the bulls in Spain to wrestling 10-foot alligators out of water in the United States! If it exists, she’ll find it and has probably already done it!

The Beasts are a multi-cultural, co-ed group, but love that they’ve found a niche with adventurous Black women in particular. Lioness loves showing Black women the advantages and benefits of solo travel, but also the amazing and epic adventures to be had across the globe as part of a sisterhood.

To find the Beasts, visit “Bucket List Beasts” on Facebook and Instagram.
Be on the lookout in the near future for a website that will showcase more trips and adventures, including the renown bucket list of the Queen Lioness herself!
