Do you know what today is? It’s our anniversary!

If reading those two simple sentences didn’t make you hear Tony, Toni, Toné, then I apologize. We’re likely showing our age. Nevertheless, it is our 1-year anniversary and looking back over what we’ve accomplished in 2016 makes us want to switch from Tony, Toni, Toné to Mahalia Jackson–How I got over!

In celebration of our anniversary, we headed to Baltimore and booked a photo shoot with photographer AJ from Black Palm Productions. It’s dress up time! Our editor had a theme in mind and we played it up lovely. It was fun and you definitely need to check out some of the photos on our NEW SITE!!! Yes, our new site. (singing… how I got over…)

Rodney Goode, Deputy Editor

In the interim, dig into January’s Issue on Beauty.

Davita McKelvey, EIC

From Houston to Lagos and over to Papua New Guinea, we’ve covered a multitude of beauty related subjects in this issue: makeup, body modifications,  the Gele and natural hair are just a few. We’re also introducing a new section: Case Studies. We want to look at some of the phenomenon occurring in the word and talk about our role as travelers in addressing (or not) these issues.

Brian Blake, Director of Visual Media

With that said, we cannot wait to cater to you in 2017.

So just hold on because we have even bigger plans on the horizon and we’ll likely be in a city near you rather quickly.
