New Year. New Destinations. New Themes.

The beginning of the new year is like a blank canvas, and with the world at our disposal, the editorial team at Griots Republic is excited about all the things 2018 has in store for you (and us). Now we are not ones to subscribe to New Year’s resolutions, but for you, dear reader, we will make an exception. In 2018, we resolve to bring you new destinations and themes in the most inciteful of ways, presented by folks from all over the globe and from the perspective you have come to love and appreciate from GR. With that said, let’s talk a bit about this month’s issue!

We start the year out lavishly by bringing you our first Luxury Issue.

First, we visit the upscale ski resort town of Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. Now if you are talking upscale travel destinations, you must mention Claire Soares, the CEO of Up In The Air Life. In this issue, Claire talks to us about the shift in luxury travel. She also tells us why you need to visit Scotland in January. We also tap Black Girls Do Wine to talk to us about touring South Africa’s Cape Winelands. These ladies know luxury.

Part of the enjoyment of travel is not only your final destination, but your mode of transportation, and ultimately, where you choose to rest your head. We have you covered there as we talk Private Airline Terminals and the Top 5 Bucket List Luxury AirBnB Experiences. Contributor, Kamara Coaxum even provides details on luxury travel with your fur baby. Once you arrive, if you decide you want to stay, Antione Kinch breaks down investing in property abroad. Finally, Nadine White, our travel blogger of the month gives us a view of the Sophisticated Life.

There is just too much within the confines of the luxury issue, so proceed forward. Before you enter, however, the entire team here at Griots Republic Magazine would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

The safest and most pleasant of journies to you all.

XOXO,

Rodney Andrew Goode
